A company established in 1916 Manufactuiring aeroplane engines soon to be renamed Bayerische Motoren Werke in 1917 by Karl Rapp and Max Friz (Bavarian Motor Works aka BMW). Their new logo was designed around an aeroplane propeller in a blue sky, the same logo is still used today on BMW products.
